Across the Border Raid Bike Rally is a non-profit, charitable bike rally.  Riders must be twenty-one and have their photo IDs handy.  No pets are allowed and neither is carrying alcohol into the rally.  Live music is on hand for participants to enjoy.  Bikes aren’t required to be able to participate.  Vendors are on site to cater to participants’ needs and wants.  Some of the attractions are a mechanical bull, a scavenger hunt, turtle races and auctions, poker run, parade of bikes, and a bike contest among many other things.  Campsites are available to all the participants.  Tent camping is free, but there is also electric camping spaces.  There are a limited number of electric sites and participants wishing to camp there must pay a fee.  Admissions and camping reservations may be bought and made online at http://www.acrosstheborderraid.com or by phone at (712) 523-2666.  The rally is held at the Taylor County Fairgrounds south of Bedford, Iowa.
The Across the Border Raid Bike Rally committee donated proceeds from 2008’s event to several worthy causes in the community. Those receiving funds were Bedford Food Pantry, Bedford Area Development Center, Taylor County Fair Board, Kyle Yehle, Bedford Grid Iron Club, and Bedford Booster Club.
