Taylor County Fair

The Taylor County Fair was started October 7, 1857 north of Bedford and was moved to its current location in 1876 at which time the current track was built. It was used for Harness Races for years and considered the best track in SW Iowa for racing. Harness Races made a come back in 1995 and continues to grow in popularity.

The Taylor County Fair is held the 3rd full week-end in July with popular attractions as the Tractor Pull, Bull Riding and Demolition Derby.  The Demolition Derby is considered one of the best in Iowa.
